I can’t thank the staff enough at the Bountiful, Utah Barnes
& Noble for putting me up for a few hours today. They were absolutely
great.
The people from Bountiful and its surrounding communities were
great as well. I especially enjoyed the visit by Traycie, a young lady 10 years
of age who proclaimed that she had already read the entire book – the youngest
reader I’ve met to date. Her younger brother Rooster, apparently not wanting to
be outdone by his sister, asked for an autograph and told me he was saving
money to buy his own copy. If that doesn’t humble a writer, and instill an
inescapable sense of responsibility, then I don’t know what will.
I was also moved by Joe, a spry, gray haired older gentleman.
He purchased a book for his wife who has Multiple Sclerosis and has been
paralyzed for the past 20 years. He thought she would enjoy the story and
believed it would make a good addition to their library of about 4,000 books.
Thank you to everyone, sincerely, for stopping by for if
nothing else to at least say “Hi.” You made it a wonderful and positive
experience that we would definitely like to do again sometime.
