7.03.08—In the span of less than 24 hours, the director of one motion picture studio as well as an associate with one of the industry’s largest film companies have asked for copies of Circle of Doors. First impressions have been very good. I’ll keep you posted.

 

5.22.08—On Thursday May 22nd, 2008, Jenkins Group Inc. announced that Circle of Doors took Silver in the Visionary Fiction category in this year’s national 2008 Independent Publisher Book Awards. The award for publishing excellence was presented at BookExpo America in Los Angeles on May 30th. The Jenkins Group annual awards event drew over 2,500 national entries this year in 64 categories.

 

According to Jenkins Group, judging was based on content, originality, design, and production quality with emphasis on innovation and social relevance. The judging panel included experts from the fields of editing, design, reviewing, bookselling and library. Silver represents second place of four finalists in the category.

 

More and more people are stopping at signings to let me know how much they’ve enjoyed the book. So far I’ve found that it’s traveled to Australia, Russia, Argentina, Hawaii, Belize and Mexico to name a few.

 

Circle of Doors is available through all major booksellers including Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Amazon.com. Many others now carry it as well. If your local bookstore does not have it in stock, they can order it in at your request. You can also order it online from various sites.

 

Thank you to all the great people who stop by at the Barnes & Noble and Costco signings. Barnes & Noble led the way and has been incredibly supportive of the work. I want to personally thank the store managers for the opportunity, and the time and effort they put into these events.
